Developed by the Confederation of Danish Industry and the Danish Business Authority, the Climate Compass offers inspiration for companies, large and small, in preparing climate strategies to reduce CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions. Focus is on energy reduce CO2 emission. Tools include tips, a CO2 calculator, cases, climate communication plans, etc. For small companies, in particular, the platform offers a quick guides and checklists in specific sectors, such as small offices, garages, banks, hotels, food and  non-food retailers, and restaurants.

Circular Enterprise (Cirkulær virksomhed) is a digital portal that gives SMEs information, inspiration and tools for promoting the circular economy in their businesses. Eight tools provide easy and clear instructions on how to promote their voluntary efforts for the benefit of the company's operations, product development, and communication with the outside world.

Cleaner Production Projects Development Manual is a methodology that provides guidance for implementing cleaner production projects in companies. The projects aim to reduce manufacturing costs through more efficient use of energy and material resources, lower pollution, and improved health and safety performance. The main objective of the approach is to prevent pollution at its source, focusing on the causes rather than treating the impacts.

The methodology can be used by both companies and business-support organisations assisting them.

The PINE Tool is an auditing approach that focuses on modelling the energy consumption of an SME using a simple MS Excel sheet. The tool lists energy consuming equipment with key characteristics, analyses the distribution of energy consumption and helps to identify energy efficiency options. It divides processes into unit operations and attributes annual consumption to these units, from measurements or by calculation.

Promoting Resource Efficiency in Small and Medium Enterprises (PRE SME) is a user-friendly toolkit developed by UNEP and UNIDO. Intended for CEOs, operations managers, and cleaner production service providers, the tool (Resource Kit and Industrial Training Handbook) provides information about cleaner, resource-efficient production by resource category (water, energy, chemicals, wastes and materials), and various techniques to achieve it.

Green Enterprise challenges organisations and companies to produce goods and provide services in more environmentally friendly ways, and to minimise emissions through cleaner production methods. The objective is to achieve a balance between economic and social activity and environmental protection.

A call for proposals is usually made in the late spring, which is advertised in the Irish Times and on the Environmental Protection Agency website. Applicants are usually notified in the early autumn if they have been successful or not.
