The Green Growth Commitment (GGC), created in 2014, represents a voluntary pledge by private, public, and civil society stakeholders to move towards a green growth economy in Portugal.

The GGC working groups started their activities in 2016, focusing on sectors or themes considered central for the circular economy, decarbonisation and the country as a whole. The groups cover: industry, cities and regions, mobility, energy and climate, waste, agriculture and forestry, and public procurement.

This partnership helps entrepreneurs to make the transition from a linear to a circular business model. Renewable energy sources for industry LT+

This programme encourages micro-, small-, medium-sized as well as larger enterprises to use renewable energy sources (RES), systems and technologies in their production and operations, and to sell excess heating and energy supplies to district heating networks or other industrial enterprises.

RES covered by the scheme include: wind, solar, aerothermal, geothermal and hydrothermal resources, ocean energy, hydropower, biomass, landfill gas, sewage treatment plant gas, and biogas.

Support is provided in the form of a non-repayable grant.
